# Introduction

A Miyabi node can be administered independently by the Node Admin. Any change in the local node settings does not require any transaction. Rather, it requires that the node admin should authorize the action. The node admin can configure the node to fine tune how it interacts with other nodes. This can be crucial to manage the computation load and memory usage of the node. Among many things, the node admin can also control node monitoring, network binding, and key-store management for the node.
